Vision/About Us
As a working parent, I know firsthand the demands
educators face on their time and energy. Quality of life is important to
teachers who spend their
workday nurturing and educating our future generations. After a hectic day, it
is difficult to make room for additional time in a classroom earning credits
to maintain a teaching certificate or move up the salary schedule.
ArmchairEd provides that unique balance educators are searching for--the
opportunity
to stay abreast of cutting-edge research and educational practice while being
able to study on one's own schedule.
ArmchairEd provides:
- flexibility
- convenience
- autonomy
- ability to earn graduate and undergraduate credits from top-notch universities
Whether in a military school, rural district, small town, suburban or urban
school, teaching can be an isolating experience. Using our bulletin board, ArmchairEd
offers an unprecedented opportunity for educators to
communicate with other teachers across the world about topics uniquely important
to education and
the teaching profession today and tomorrow.
I hope you'll find ArmchairEd an accessible, easy-to-use website that provides a
quality learning experience. Our links with publishers allows
you to buy books quickly and affordably. Please feel free to review a book or
send us
an e-mail. We look forward to your comments and ideas.
